francetv distribution and Calt Production are happy to announce a unique deal was inked for distribution of the two first Seasons of Chefs, the famous fiction series broadcast on France 2 that spins a web of intrigues in the realm of Parisian haute cuisine.

francetv distribution and Calt Production will officially launch international sales for Chefs, a fiction series created by Arnaud Malherbe and Marion Festraëts during upcoming MIPCOM. This famous high-end production with leading talents will participate in promoting French fiction programs internationally.   

Furthermore, Calt Distribution will manage the format sales for Chefs, as it does for the other original formats in Calt Production’s catalog.

francetv distribution will also market Season 2 in VOD and DVD. Thus, the episodes will remain available on replay platforms such as PLUZZ VAD and others.

All of these launches will enjoy heavy media visibility.

 

It is noteworthy that Season 1 was a real hit with over 4.5 million viewers and 17.1% of market shares.

Season 2 sees the return of Romain, a former convict who became the Mozart of cooking.  Romain’s doing an outstanding job at Le Paris where he was just awarded one star.  He’s in love with Charlene his assistant Chef. However, things aren’t as rosy as they seem. Romain is consumed by his father’s lack of acknowledgement. Furthermore, his father gave up cooking to get involved in weird and dangerous tasting bets held at a shady club. Delphine, his father’s lonely ex-lover is wasting away in a luxurious palace.  Edward, the warped owner of Le Paris, reappears to shape Romain’s destiny. A brutal conflict ensues. Now each one is at the other’s throat.
