DERBY GIRL 

Selected for 'Coming Next from France' presentation at the Series Mania Digital Forum

Directed by Nikolas Lange and produced by Noon (Kabo Productions), this series (10x22') soon to be shown on france.tv slash, introduces viewers to the secrets of a still poorly-known sport: Roller Derby. Featuring brilliant performances from ‘badass’ female characters, it combines a lot of humor and girl power!

Lola Bouvier, 25, a fallen ice-skating star with an outsize ego, decides to become “the greatest roller-derby champion of all time,” but unwittingly joins one of France’s worst teams: the Cannibal Unicorns!

LAETITIA

First French Series selected in 'Indie Episodic' Category at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival

Based on a real story and directed by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade, who won an Oscar in 2002 for his documentary Un coupable ideal (Murder on a Sunday Morning), this drama series (6x45') produced by CPB Films and L'Ile Clavel, tells the tragic story of Laetitia and a murder investigation that rocked France to its core.

Eighteen year old Laetitia has disappeared. Her overturned scooter was found in the early morning, just in front of her house. Very quickly the police investigations will reconstruct the young girl’s last hours, leading to the arrest of Tony Meilhon. But while they are certain that they have identified the responsible, the investigators still can’t find the body. This story will follow the repercussions on Laetitia’s family, above all on her twin sister Jessica, but also on the working of the police force, the social services, and the judicial system and even on the Government. Lucas aka LUX, an exceptionally gifted nerd who studies engineering, stalks the students who made fun of him during Freshers' Weekend, and manages to befriend them, with the idea to take revenge. He quickly gets what he has always dreamt of... but then falls into his own trap.

THE REAL WAR OF THRONES - SEASON 3 

This season 3 (6x45') broadcast last December on France 5 and produced by Pernel Media, covers the period from 1590 to 1643.

In it, Bruno Solo tells the story of the reigns of great monarchs of Europe, such as Henri IV, Philip III, Elizabeth I, Louis XIII, Anne of Austria and Marie de Medici. All faced powerful enemies beyond their borders and their amorous affairs posed a constant threat to their thrones, fueling ever more irrepressible cravings for power and domination. Each kingdom’s growing thirst for conquest and the permanent conflict between Catholics and Protestants led to the major hostilities of the Thirty Years’ War. A key period that brought constant reversals of fortune, forcing Europe to make a new start.

THE GHOST OF THE NEOLITHIC

A team of Swiss archeologists are on the trail of a mysterious Neolithic man (Schnidi) who died in the high Alps nearly 5,000 years ago. Found in a glacier 2,800 meters up, his clothing is remarkably well-conserved, but his body has not been discovered yet.

A scientific discovery more important than that of Ötzi (a mummy found in the Dolomites) is brought to life in one episode of 90 minutes (also available in 1x52'). Produced by TSVP and broadcast on France 5. 

APOCALYPSE: HITLER TAKES ON THE WEST: 1940

After Apocalypse: WWI, Never-Ending War and studies of Stalin and Hitler, the APOCALYPSE series is back with a new 2x52’ documentary produced by CC&C. Featuring previously unseen colorized archive images, APOCALYPSE:  HITLER TAKES ON THE WEST explores the starting point of the Second World War and anticipates Hitler’s madness.

May 10th, 1940, Hitler takes on the West. Nazi tanks and planes ravage the countryside and cities of Belgium, Netherlands and Northern France. In Dunkirk, which has become a bottleneck, 330,000 British and French troops flee in complete mayhem. As Hitler enters Paris, his planes are about to pour a flood of steel over London and all of England. Will he precipitate Europe into the Apocalypse?

DISCO DRAGON

This feel-good series currently in development (52x13') is produced by Mondo TV. It stars Disco and Betty, a hilarious musical duo who have decided their mission in life is to help every child find their Groove!

Grooville is the home of Disco, a dragon who’s crazy about music. A dragon?! Well, yes… but one who can hear each child’s inner groove. When one of those little soundtracks goes off the rails, Disco gets edgy! It’s an alarm signal meaning a child needs help. On his missions, Disco can count on the help of his little neighbor, Betty, a music-mad hothead like him. The highly ingenious girl has an answer to every problem and sets the tempo. Betty’s high spirits and Disco Dragon’s awkwardness lead to some unlikely situations… and plenty of confusion! But a confusion that helps each child to work out how to find the harmony in their inner sounds. And that really is groovy!

SUPER CARIBOU

Based on the book "Jean-Michel Le Caribou" by Magali Le Huche (published by Éditions Actes Sud). The awkward, endearing central character is back in an animated series produced by Autour de Minuit (48 x 11’ + 2 specials: 2 x 22’ / 44’).

Welcome to the lovely town of Brisiae with its charming town hall, post office, café and bus stop. Don’t hesitate to come and visit. This is a town where nothing happens. Nothing? Really? That would be true if it weren’t for the improbable inhabitants of Brisiae and their crazy antics. Luckily Jeremy the Superhero caribou watches over the town like Superman over Metropolis!

GROSHA & MR B.

Currently being produced by La Station Animation, this animated series (52 x 11') with a very different approach is a children’s take on the detective genre and cult comedy-action films.

Grosha & Mr. B are two cat detectives who work as a team at the Special Bureau of Investigation (SBI). The two agents have diametrically opposed methods and characters, and their job is to solve the wackiest of criminal cases. Grosha, the cat from a modest background, and the aristocratic Mr. B are backed by the SBI’s brilliant team of experts led by Miss Tigri: Turbo, the forensic tortoise, and Paquo and Paco, the two flying-squad pigeons.
