Acquisition of Lastman

 

 

France tv distribution is happy to announce its acquisition of Seasons 1 & 2 of the French adult animation Lastman.

Distributed internationally by France tv distribution, this program will be launched during the MIPTV, which will take place from April 17 through 19, 2023.

 

After the local and international success of the original French manga, Lastman became an animation series in 2016. The first season proved to be a commercial and popular phenomenon. The season 2, also distributed by France tv distribution, features an original narrative structure where each episode tells the journey of a specific character evolving through a particular individual genre: thriller, musical, horror....

 

 

Synopsis

 

Season 1

In Paxtown, a capital city reeling from media hype, torn asunder by inequality and blighted by organized crime, trouble is part and parcel of daily life. This is the home turf of Richard Aldana, a streetwise brawler with no allegiance and no aspirations. But this part-time boxer’s life gets turned upside down when his friend Dave is murdered and he finds himself reunited with the latter’s strange child, Siri. Hunted by fanatics, Richard and Siri find themselves out of their league as they embark on a quest that takes them to "Valley of the Kings", a magic mythological place inhabited by demons, and accessed via Paxtown’s martial arts championship, the dreaded Fist Fight Funeral Cup.

 

 

Season 2

Nine years after their historic triumph, Richard and Duke are back together again, competing in the FFFC finals, just like the old days. But their internationally televised fight takes an unexpected turn in the first round when Richard turns against his own partner and knocks him out cold with a monstrous punch.
